What this is

Terrier Tracker is a free, student-built tool for tracking progress toward BU Hub and major requirements. It is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or operated by Boston University, the Registrar, or any BU school or college. It is a personal project maintained by one student.

It is not an official degree audit

This is the most important thing on this page. Course data is scraped from BU's public catalog and course-management systems, and requirement rules are transcribed by hand from published bulletins. Both can be out of date, incomplete, or wrong. Requirements also change between catalog years, and some rules (advisor approval, petitions, study-abroad substitutions, transfer evaluations) cannot be checked by software at all.

Always confirm your requirements with your academic advisor and your official BU degree audit before you register, drop, or plan a graduation term. If this tool and BU disagree, BU is right. Do not rely on Terrier Tracker as your only source of truth for a decision that affects whether you graduate.

Your account

  • Sign-in uses Google. You are responsible for the security of the Google account you sign in with.
  • Don't use someone else's account, and don't try to access another student's data.
  • You can delete your account at any time from Settings. See the Privacy Policy for exactly what deletion does.

Forum, reviews, and other things you post

  • Keep it useful and civil. No harassment, no personal attacks on instructors or students, no doxxing, no academic-integrity trading (no sharing exam contents, graded problem sets, or solutions).
  • Course reviews should describe your own experience. Don't post content you don't have the right to post.
  • You keep ownership of what you write. By posting, you allow it to be displayed in the app to other signed-in users.
  • Content that breaks these rules may be removed, and accounts may be suspended. There is a flag button; it is read by a human.

Sharing with an advisor

If you share your progress with an advisor, they can see your tracked courses, requirement progress, and notes they write about you. Sharing is opt-in and you can revoke it.

Availability

This is a free tool with no uptime guarantee. It may be slow, break, lose data, or go away entirely. Export your roadmap from Settings if you need a copy you control. Features may change or be removed without notice.

No warranty

Terrier Tracker is provided “as is,” without warranty of any kind. To the fullest extent allowed by law, the maintainer is not liable for any loss arising from your use of it — including missed requirements, delayed graduation, registration problems, or lost data. Your academic record is your responsibility and BU's official systems are the authority on it.

Changes and contact

These terms may change; the date at the top will change with them. For anything at all — a bug, a wrong requirement, a takedown request, a privacy question — use the Feedback button in the app. It goes straight to the maintainer.
